Tuesday, December 1st: Rotations Meeting - Exemptions (3:00pm, Lecture Hall A)
December 4th: Exemptions Due to by 3:00pm to Mieshia Blackwell (Clinical Education Dept.)
January 22nd: Rotations Meeting - Rotations Lottery
January 22nd: Primary Rotations Lottery OPENS*
January 25th: Primary Rotations Lottery CLOSES*
February 4th: Primary Lottery Results Published*
February 4th - 10th: Students may trade rotations sites within the class
February 10th: Primary Lottery FINALIZED (No more adjustments)
TBA: Northern California & Bay Area Sub-Lotteries
*NOTE: Primary Lottery will include all non-Nothern California specific sites (Pacific Hospital of Long Beach, Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine, etc) and a general selection for Northern California. Students assigned to the Northern California group will then have a secondary lottery for each specific non-Bay Area site and a general Bay Area category.

OMS I
To get familiar with the basics... click here. But seriously... don't worry about rotations as of right now. At the end of the year, the OMSII representative will meet with your class and answer any questions you have. Until then please do not contact the Clinical Education Department with questions. If you have a question that must be answered now... please email the OMS II Representative from the home page.
OMS II
August-September: Rotations Committee will be formed, initial survey of the class interests will be taken and published after site information fact sheets are posted (see current sites). Kaplan will visit the class to start our board preparation.
October-December: Rotations Committee will finalize the lottery procedures (with student input), Dr. Silberg and Dr. Pera will begin our orientation to the third year by addressing the class and answering questions not already answered (TBD). Around winter break, the 3rd year Blackboard site and EMS (lottery/rotations system) will become available (full of resources we will be utilizing throughout the rest of our time at Touro).
January: OMS II's will get access to the Blackboard Site "Orientation to 3rd Year." Hospital Day: this event will welcome in hospitals that not only have core sites located at their facility, but that have residency programs we will be applying for. This is a great opportunity to go straight to the source with your site questions. Exemptions Committee will be accepting submissions. Students will be notified if they were granted their exemption or not before the lottery.
Late January-Early February: The lottery will take place.
February-April: After sites have been notified of their students, schedules will be formulated. This takes time and may include many revisions. Please be aware that you may not receive your final schedule until the end of April.
April 15-20th: LAST Exam Block!!!
April 21st: Capstone Course Begins
May 17th: Capstone Course Ends
May 7th-27th: 2 days ACLS & 1 day BLS training per student
June 22nd-June 30th: Approximate Rotations Start Date
October: COMLEX- Step 1 needs to be completed no later than October 1st of 3rd year.
